December 21, 2009: Outcome Document has been released.
November 26, 2009: The text of the Final Outcome Document (unedited) was accepted ad referendum by member states participating in the informal consultations. The Co-facilitators of the Conference on South-South Cooperation have forwarded the document to the President of the UN General Assembly for adoption at the Conference in Nairobi.
November 16, 2009: Informal consultations on the High-level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation will be held Wednesday, 18 November 2009, at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Conference Room 7.
November 13, 2009: The Secretariat has released the UN Secretary General’s Report (final version)
November 4, 2009: The President of the General Assembly has appointed Iceland and Yemen as the co-facilitators for drafting of the Conference’s outcome document.
October 23, 2009: Preparations for the two round table discussions are currently underway. The round tables will address the following themes: (i) Strengthening the role of the United Nations system in supporting South-South and triangular cooperation; and (ii) South-South and triangular cooperation; and (ii) South-South and triangular cooperation for development: complementarities, specificities, challenges and opportunities.
October 15, 2009: The Conference will work around five plenary meetings and two interactive multi-stakeholder roundtables.
October 6, 2009: The Special Unit for South-South Cooperation has been named the Secretariat for the High Level UN Conference on South-South Cooperation.
